My name is Genevieve duCharme and I’m a custom shoe artist. I grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to New York City to study illustration at Parsons school of design, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in 2019.
I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by art my whole life, and creating since I was a child. My mother is one of the most talented artists I know, and my first memories are of us drawing together. I have worked in many mediums, including book-making, glass work, sculpture, digital illustration, animation, photography, and more, but painting and drawing always just felt the most “me”. Maybe it’s because of all the days I spent as a child doodling in class instead of paying attention!
I began creating wearable works of art in 2020, when I founded Charme Customs, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come since then, and so excited to be a part of the Angelus family.
