For most of the year, the NFL prohibits its players from wearing custom cleats. However, for the league's My Cause, My Cleats program, players are allowed to wear customs cleats in order to show support for a cause that they feel passionate about. From weeks 13-15 of the season, players can play in pre-approved cleats sponsoring their charity of choice, and some of our sponsored artists at Angelus have been able to feature their designs on screens across the country. Here are a couple of the best My Cause, My Cleats designs from a few of our artists.
These cleats designed by sponsored artist @solesbysir were custom made for Browns cornerback TJ Carrie in support of the TJ Carrie Foundation. According to its website, the TJ Carrie Foundation was founded "to help our youth discover their greatness through health, education, and community programs and events." You can put together a similar design with our 12 Color Assortment Kit.
Sponsored artist @astrotorfcustoms put together these clean customs to help Packers linebacker Reggie Gilbert show support for his Auntie who's fighting against Lupus. If you like this colorway, you can recreate a similar one using our purple, white, and light green paint.
@solesbysir had the opportunity to design these incredible custom cleats for legendary Saints QB Drew Brees. These gold and white cleats support the Brees Dream Foundation which aims to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and provide care for children and families in need.
Cardinals QB Josh Rosen wore these customs by sponsored artist @mache275 to raise awareness for climate change and ocean pollution. Grabbing some blue and turquoise paint can help you get started on a similar design to show your support for this important cause.
Last up are these amazing personalized cleats made by sponsored artist @bbizon for Redskins QB Colt McCoy. The Redskins Read program encourages young people to continue reading and expanding their knowledge through books.
These are just of few of the amazing designs we saw for My Cause, My Cleats. If you want to check out some more custom cleats, or see some of the other customs made by amazing artists across the country, make sure to follow us on Instagram.
