Leather dyes are super strong and full of color. They work great on leather because they soak in and last a long time. Suede dyes are a bit different—they have less color in them and are made to keep suede soft. Suede is that soft, fuzzy leather, and it needs special care. If you put leather dye on suede, it can make the suede hard, not soft and fuzzy like it should be.
Dyes takes the color of what is under them. So if you dye something white with red it will turn pink. It mixes with it. Paint sits on the surface and grabs on. You can cover anything with paint. Our paint is water based while our dyes are alcohol based.
Yes, all Angelus Dyes are mixable! Angelus Leather Dyes can be mixed with other Angelus Leather Dyes, and the same for Angelus Suede Dyes. Mixing dyes to acheive specific colors is harder than mixing paints and does require testing. (Do not mix Suede Dyes and Leather Dyes together.)
Keep in mind that this is considered a professional product. You may need to perform many tests before applying it to your final piece.
I love the angelus dyes. In my opinion they are the best on the market for leather. Especially when you want a color other than earth tones. The 12 Color Leather Dye Assortment is a great value.

Excellent Results
I do both leatherwork and woodwork and just tried the Angelus Dyes on wood. Outstanding results on my custom-made guitars. The dye goes on evenly and easily and the colors are vibrant. Outstanding!

My 12 Color Dye Assortment
My assortment arrived quickly and well packaged.
Included were all of the colors I picked, along with a sticker and an air freshener.
I use these dyes for wood staining.
The dye colors are deep and rich and can be easily mixed together or thinned with alcohol.
For woods, it is best to first use black or dark brown dye, followed by a sanding with 320 grit (after drying for at least 12 hours) and then applying your color dyes. This really makes the grain pop out on figured woods. When doing sunburst finishes on guitars and such, it is best to start with the lighter colors first and blend each change.

Can't beat Angelus
I have been using Angelus paints and equipment for a couple of years, and finally decided to try the leather dye. I am not disappointed. The assortment of colors available is great, and I am very happy with the colors I chose, and the dye in general.
