Product was easy to use and finish was as expected. I called for questions about my project and got great assistance and advice. Thank you Cassandra.
Pearlescent Sterling Silver is my absolute favorite Angelus color!! I paint leather bags and I add it to most every color to give the bags an extra glow!! Subtle but beautiful!!
I had a leather pouch I was not crazy about so I deglazed it and dyed it Oxblood! Now I love it!
The Angelus Leather Test Swatch is a simple but incredibly useful tool for anyone working with leather paint. It allows you to test colours, finishes, and techniques before applying them to your actual project, helping prevent costly mistakes. The leather quality closely resembles that of many common leatherworking projects, making it a reliable surface for paint testing and colour matching.
For a low-cost item, it provides great value and gives extra confidence before starting a custom piece.
As someone who does custom leatherwork and hand-painted projects, the Angelus Complete Standard Colour Kit is one of the best investments I've made for my shop. Having all 84 standard colours in one set gives you unlimited creative possibilities without constantly needing to mix paints or order additional colours.
The paint quality is exactly what Angelus is known for—smooth application, excellent coverage, vibrant pigmentation, and great flexibility once cured. Whether you're painting leather belts, wallets, boots, sneakers, or custom accessories, the colours adhere exceptionally well and hold up to wear when properly finished.
One of the biggest advantages of this kit is its ability to colour-match customer requests. With such a wide range of colours on hand, I can confidently tackle custom projects without worrying about not having the right shade. The 1 oz. Bottles are also the perfect size, providing enough paint for multiple projects while keeping the collection manageable and organized.
Pros:
- Massive selection of 84 colours
- Excellent pigment and coverage
- Flexible finish that won't crack when properly applied
- Great for leather, sneakers, and other custom projects
- Saves time and money compared to buying colours individually
- Perfect for custom order work and colour matching
Cons:
- Higher upfront investment
- Requires storage space and organization
- Some specialty colours may still require mixing for exact matches
Overall, if you're serious about custom leatherwork, sneaker customization, or any hand-painted craft business, this kit is worth every penny. The versatility, colour selection, and professional-grade quality make it an easy 10/10 recommendation for anyone looking to expand their painting capabilities.
Astounding coverage and easy to use. The colors are vibrant and fantastic, and I've also had good luck mixing colors to get exactly what I want. It can get some pretty deep penetration, and doesn't dry the leather out as badly as Fiebing's. Remember-- dye with 1-2 passes, let it dry 12-24 hours, buff it to remove excess pigment, then top coat!
