PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

Incredible product!

Starter set for wallet restorations

This starter set was perfect to restore my 30 year old Louis Vuitton wallet. The key to a great restoration project is to use the leather preparer before painting. Purse design repair.

Picked up the started kit to repair a beloved purse that is no longer made. The design has begun flaking off and, while I'm no artist, I wanted to be able to at least put color back over what had been lost and protect the rest. The paint dud an amazing job and the top coat got everything sealed back in like new again. So pleased with this kit!!!

Easy to use. Pretty durable

Painted sons baseball cleats. Easy to do. Has held up 1 tournament and some practice, sort of. The top coat chipped and is peeling. Not sure why, maybe user error. I did thin coats and ket sit over 24 hours before we used them

I ordered this kit because my son convinced me to paint his baseball cleats for the season. This kit had everything I needed and was easy to use. He hasn’t worn them yet so we will see how they hold up but the products have been great so far!

Awesome first time experience!

My daughter wanted a pair of youth Nike Air Jordan that didn’t come in the color she really wanted so i bought the Angelus starter kit, watched a couple videos and made them myself for the first time.
