Looking for that classic, pearl-effect red, like the kind you would find on hot rods and low-riders? Try our new Riot Red Paint. The Angelus Pearlescent collection lets you create a brilliantly iridescent sheen, perfect when you want a more vibrant color.

Available in 1oz and 4oz bottles, it's a must-have for anyone seeking the best leather paint for creating stunning designs.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

Sorry it was not a match. We do recommend applying the paint to leather to get a true look of the color. Viewing the color in the bottle is not a true depiction of the pigment. It really needs to be put onto a surface. With that said, please send us an email so that we can assist you with an added color that you may need to get closer to the color on your shoe.

Extra Layer

The pearlescent paint line is great for adding a little more pop to whatever you are painting! I usually do a coat of the standard paint first, and then apply the pearlescent color. I find that the sheen is more uniform when you add a vase coat ! Great paint all around!

For burgundy you can mix Pearlescent Riot Red and Prince Purple 1:1, by mixing Riot Red and Black together the end result will give you a dark brown color.
