Engineered to prevent cracking and peeling on high-flex areas, this acrylic paint is the industry standard for professional leather restoration and sneaker customization. The water-based formula provides a permanent, waterproof bond when applied to a properly deglazed surface. It features a high pigment load for maximum opacity and can be modified with 2-Thin for airbrushing or 2-Soft for fabric applications.

Superior Adhesion & Flex: This formula bonds directly to leather, canvas, and wood, creating a finish that moves with the material to prevent flaking.

Professional Chemical Versatility: The paint is fully compatible with the range of Angelus additives, allowing you to customize flow, adhesion to plastic, or softness on textiles.

High-Density Opaque Coverage: Concentrated black pigments ensure deep color saturation and a smooth finish in 3 to 5 thin, even coats.

Industrial Size Options: Stocked in 1 oz, 4 oz, Pint, and Quart containers to accommodate everything from minor shoe touch-ups to large-scale production.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

I got exactly what I needed.

Plain and simple they have great service and products. The paint and the type of paint they described I would get was exactly as I desired and as they had described it. They are top tier in helping anybody make some shoe new or any items stand out better with their paint types and offering contrary styles like flat & glossy finishes— depending on the exact thing you are looking to accomplish .

Good paint for LARP EVA foam and laytex

I painted a LARPing shield with these paints -- mixed a bit of black with green for part of the shield, then white on the dragon indentation, then glow in the dark over that. Works well I think.

Bicycle Saddles

The accompanying photos will show the transformation for a white saddle that is no longer manufactured and had become unsightly. This saddle by Selle San Marco is fabricated with a nylon-loaded carbon fiber base and a Lorica covering. Lorica is made of synthetic "micro-fibers" that are treated with resin and woven to create a leather-like feel. Another black saddle made by Selle San Marco had faded and was given new life. I was assured, that as long as I properly applied their Leather Preparer and Deglazer, sanded with 800+ grit, and brushed on five thin layers of paint, the finished appearance would make the saddle as new. I can vouch for this, since I just rode the freshly painted saddle and found the coatings to be resilient and without cracks. Unpainted, ugly saddle Five coats of white acrylic leather paint in the gleaming sunlight! No cracks, peeling or discoloration after test rideIf you want to save money and simply retain your favorite saddle, or even give it a whole new color, including a pearlescent or metallic sheen, I cannot recommend this product highly enough! The finish is tough and near indestructible. Faded and tired looking Shiny and like new-- Ralph
