Don't Forget
Tips on how to get the most out of our paint. Prep and additives are the most important part to make your work durable and long lasting.
Prep for Leather
Always remove the factory finish before painting (on leather and most non-fabric materials) by doing 3-5 passes with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer.
Paint on Fabrics
Mix Angelus Paint with 2-Soft to keep painted fabrics soft and more laundrable. Perfect for painting on fabric shoes, jackets, hoodies, and so much more!
Paint on Plastic
Mix Angelus Paints with 2-Hard to paint hard surfaces such as plastic and metal. Perfect for painting the plastic on shoes, water bottles, flasks, and more!
Finish Strong
Use our all new 4-Coat Finishers to change the sheen of your artwork, as well as protect your work with these urethane-based finishers. Available in 4 sheens.
Airbrushable
Use Angelus Paint straight out of the bottle in our Airbrush (or any airbrush with a .5mm or bigger nozzle). To thin our paint, use 2-Thin. TIP: Use a strainer.
I initially bought this paint to redo an expensive high-end purse that was marked way down, probably in part due to the color (lavender). I used the deglazer as directed, and then got right to painting. I couldn't believe how easy it was, and the absolutely amazing results! Next I painted a pair of medium brown boots to make them black. The first day I wore them, I got so many compliments! My latest project is a larger, reversible leather tote bag that was Kelly green on the outside, and multi-colored floral on the inside. I did the outside in black, and the the inside and straps in dark brown. It looks fantastic. I've sealed them all with the satin sealer, and will say that next time, I'll probably use some of the sheen-reducer, as it looks more like a semi-gloss finish to me. Still, as someone whose craft projects usually look like they were made by a first grader, everything I've painted with the Angelus leather paint looks like it came right off the shelves of a high-end store.
Angelus paint reaches above and beyond my expectations. It is so easy to work with and if you have any questions at all, customer service is there to help!!
