Leather dyes are super strong and full of color. They work great on leather because they soak in and last a long time. Suede dyes are a bit different—they have less color in them and are made to keep suede soft. Suede is that soft, fuzzy leather, and it needs special care. If you put leather dye on suede, it can make the suede hard, not soft and fuzzy like it should be.
Dyes takes the color of what is under them. So if you dye something white with red it will turn pink. It mixes with it. Paint sits on the surface and grabs on. You can cover anything with paint. Our paint is water based while our dyes are alcohol based.
Yes, all Angelus Dyes are mixable! Angelus Leather Dyes can be mixed with other Angelus Leather Dyes, and the same for Angelus Suede Dyes. Mixing dyes to acheive specific colors is harder than mixing paints and does require testing. (Do not mix Suede Dyes and Leather Dyes together.)
Keep in mind that this is considered a professional product. You may need to perform many tests before applying it to your final piece.

I‘m usually a huge fan of Angelus products including the suede dye but this beige colour is awful. It comes out totally different than the sample, it’s not a beige at all but more a pinky mauve. After brushing it gets even darker and has an orangey tinge to it. Glad I only used it on a tiny part of the shoe. This is the result already after intense brushing to try and lighten the colour. Sad, I was so excited to refresh my beige boots.

Shipping time was reasonable. This dye is top quality. It dyed evenly with two coats and completely covered a pink color I did not like, even with the beige not really being darker than the pink. I’m very satisfied.

I used this on some fabric shoes and it worked beautifully! I had a pair of taupe suede Tom's sandals that I really loved, but when I had to replace them, they had changed the style to a fabric upper and the beige of the description was almost white. I figured I'd try the Suede Dye on the, having nothing to lose. I used 2 think coats as directed and gave a lovely, even color that soaked into the fabric which was what I wanted.The color turned out a cool-toned dark beige- also just what I wanted! Very simple to use with the nice included applicator. Thank you I love Angelus products!
Shipping time was unacceptable. They shipped using the incompetent USPS. First email had the dye being delivered on Friday, which was perfect. It didn’t arrive until Monday. We were already on our way to the wedding.

Hey there Fred, We are sorry the color was not to your liking. Please feel free to email us. We know it can be difficult to choose colors from online photos. Make sure to shake this one well, out of the box, the suede dyes can be deceiving due to the pigment.

This is such a high quality item, I am super impressed. My 17 year-old Timberland were almost gray in color with age and wear. I cleaned them with the suede cleaner kit (which already took a decade of wear off) then dyed them with this paint and it was so easy to apply and such high quality that now my boots look brand new! The product covered the discoloration on the back of my suede shoes fairly well.However when I came home from church there was some further discoloration in the same spots. I added multiple layers of your product and the suede looks pretty good. I have only worn them once since those applications so I am not sure if it will maintain. I have plenty left for retouched since only the wedge on my shoes is suede. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that your product matched so well color wise.

I'm trying to add some contrast to my Travis Scott Air Max 1 Saturn Golds. If I add this beige to a darker base suede, will the saturn gold color remain, or will it be a mix of beige/gold? Would the same thing happen if I dyed the gold suede Angelus Rust?

Will Angelus suede dye cover darker colors? For instance - i have a dark purple suede sneaker that I would like to change to a lighter color. Would suede dye work in this scenario, or would I have to prime the darker color first before adding a lighter color?
Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, dyes are permanent. Lighter dyes will not lift darker dyes if you are trying to cover the previous color. You can only go darker with suede.
I'm currently working on a pair of wheat timberland boots. I've only done one layer of beige dye and I noticed that a little bit of residue from the dye on my hands even after being fully dry. Before I do more layers, is it common for the dye to rub off like this? Is there a way to seal after dyeing to prevent it from rubbing off?
