How to Paint on Canvas:
A Step-By-Step Guide
1Prep the Canvas
Clean the blank canvas using a light brush or soft cloth to remove any dust or debris. Since canvas is a porous fabric, ensure the surface is clean and dry before painting so the paint adheres properly.

2Sketch the Artwork
Lightly sketch the outline of Maomao onto the canvas using a pencil or soft graphite. Keep your lines clean and light so they can easily be covered by paint without bleeding through the lighter shades.

3Paint Maomao in Thin Layers
Apply Angelus Leather Paint directly over your sketch using thin, even coats, letting each layer dry completely before adding the next layer. Thin coats ensure the vibrant colors pop without cracking.

4Seal and Protect
Once the painting is completely dry, apply 1–2 thin coats of Angelus 4-Coat Finisher (or Angelus Acrylic Finisher in your choice of Matte, Satin, or Gloss) to seal the artwork. This protects the canvas against scuffs, and dust keeping the finished piece vibrant for years to come.
