Step 1: Prep the Surface

Start with a clean canvas. Use Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer to remove oils or finishes so your paint sticks properly. Lightly sand if needed for an ultra-smooth base.

Step 2: Mix and Thin

Our paints can be sprayed straight through a 0.5 mm nozzle.

For lighter shading or layering, thin your paint with Angelus 2-Thin at a 1:4 ratio (2-Thin:paint), then strain before loading your cup. This helps you avoid clogs and achieve buttery-smooth atomization.

Step 3: Spray with Confidence

Set your compressor between 15–30 PSI and practice even, sweeping motions. You’ll see your control improve with every pass. 

Always layer multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat.
