Created the perfect finish for my project. I used Satin for the boot and Matte for the heel.
I used it on football cleats to hold and so far it has done amazing. They haven’t seen a game yet, only practice, but I’ll be surprised if they take too much damage. I’ve tried scratching it for testing and it hasn’t left a mark.

This stuff is great used it just on certian part of the shoes i applied it using a brush it did leave a weird layer over my paint(user mistake) but the matting look it gave the area I applied it to where perfectly matted just like I wanted so for future use I'll be applying with an airbrush

I will be using this from now on whenever I want a true matte look. I like to use a bit more finish on certain designs to add extra protection to the site, and I find that other "matte" clear coat products often leave a bit more gloss than desired. The 4-coat matte does an amazing job of protecting the product while truly leaving it looking matte.
Every single shoe I’ve painted, I mix some duller with this and the shoe comes out with a factory-looking finish, not shiny (because of the duller!) but perfect because the paint stays on there, doesn’t scratch off, and makes it look way more professional.

Can you apply paint to a shoe that you have already used the finisher on? I was working on a pair of bred 1s and used flat black paint thinking it would be as dark as regular black after the finisher was applied but the color is more of a gunmetal black. I painted 4 coats of flat black then applied two thin coats of the finisher. I know some people think of the finisher as a clear top coat so I wondered if it would be okay to paint on top of it or if I should just remove the paint and try again.
Hey there, we recommend that you take it down a little with some Leather Preparer. Then apply more layers of the paint. The 4-Coat is a urethane base, applying paint on top will not allow the paint to adhere nicely.
