The Satin 4-Coat did give a nice finish to my leather dye project. I'll explain why I gave it 3 stars and I think it would be good for Angelus to inform customers that this might happen to them. I want to give a heads up to anyone using the Low VOC Leather Dye along with the Satin 4-Coat. I dyed my tan LaDuca heels red that I’ve been dancing in for about 5 years, so the leather was worn in some places. With only the Red Dye on my heels the color was a deep fuchsia red, which was lovely but not the color I was going for. When I added the Satin 4-Coat it completely changed the color to a bright pink red with orange undertones. Luckily this pretty much matched the color I wanted, but the color change was shocking and I wish I would have known that the Satin 4-Coat could change the color so dramatically. I dyed my friend's LaDuca heels with the Blue Low VOC Leather Dye and the color was perfect so I didn’t use the Satin 4-Coat because I was concerned it would change the color. This was my first time dying leather and I learned a lot.

All Angelus products are amazing and I haven't been disappointed with a single thing, including the Satin 4-Coat.

The satin coat made it look like it was bought that way instead of painted.

I live in Brazil and I only use Angelus products because they are the best in the world.

I used Angelus leather paints to upgrade an old pair of grey leather boots for Burning Man. I ordered the Satin 4-Coat to keep them protected as best as I could and they did AMAZING! When I got home, I simply ran then under water and all of the playa dust came right off. There are almost no scratches or scuffs and they held up beautifully. Thank you!

I painted a pair of black boots with the French blue paint then applied this finish to one of the boots. I was so terribly disappointed in this product as my boots were looking so beautiful before and this product ruined them. I should’ve just left it with just the paint. This went on so streaky and even after drying I could see every single brush stroke. I did another coat and there is still the same problem. I don’t know what to do from here. I only applied the finish to the right boot so you can see the comparison in the photo. Also while writing this I realized both of my bottles of finish (satin and matte) are 1 oz when I had actually ordered the 4 oz bottles.

The satin clear coat went on without picking up the color coat underneath. Given that it's clear, it's hard to tell how evenly it covers so you have to pay close attention as it's applied. After it's dry, you can't even tell it's there -- as it should be. And the "Satin" nature of the clear cuts the gloss of the color coat. Hopefully it'll extended the service life of this leather steering wheel project. I suspec it will.

Tricky at first but due to my habit of not reading instructions first. I made many calls during this project and the customer service is just wonderful! The products they have are top grade. Transformed my pitiful leather ottoman to like new!

These are pictures of my daughters pads finished with 4coat satin. Yes it looks rough, but this is after TWO YEARS of year round hockey, 5-7 hours a week, every week. We're talking 600-700 hours of punishment to these pads and the top coat. You can see that yes, it did wear off in spots, but so did the actual material the pads are made of. This finish was subjected to temperature extremes, water and teenager abuse. Highly recommended product, and a fantastic company to work with as a customer.

After about one month, either the Satin 4 Coat or the Leather Conditioner created pink streaks ALL OVER my finished leather project!!!I used only Angelus products from start to finish ( deglazer, paint, satin 4 coat, leather conditioner). I let each coat of every product that I used dry for a few days since I was not in a rush. I'm VERY disappointed because I've spent over $80 in products (between ordering online & my local craft store) and I now need to strip off all of the paint and start over! The paint is great, but the other products are NOT good quality. I really feel they should refund me for every dime I've spent!

Four coat is a great product!It applies easily and dries quickly and offers some scuff resistance to the Angelus paints.In my opinion Angelus makes the best paints on the market!Such a wide variety of colors to choose from only increases my artistic ability!
