Angelus Neutral Lustre Cream is a colorless leather shoe cream that conditions smooth leather and brings back its shine on shoes, boots, handbags, and wallets. You can also mix it with Angelus Leather Dye to make a cream in a custom color. It comes in a 4 fl. oz. (118 ml) size.

Before you apply

Lustre Cream is for smooth leather. Clean the leather first with Angelus Leather & Saddle Soap and let it dry completely. For suede, use the Angelus Nubuck & Suede Kit instead.

How to use it

  1. Start with clean, dry leather.
  2. Rub a small amount of cream into the leather with a soft cloth, working in small circles.
  3. Let it sit for a few minutes so the leather can take it in.
  4. Buff with a horsehair brush or soft cloth to bring up the shine.

I ordered the Neutral Lustre cream and the Tan Lustre cream and they both gave a wonderful Lustre. I wanted some darker tan, and asked customer support for advice. I then mixed a little brown into some of the tan is one of the Angelus mixing jars, and it made my Frye boots beam and covered some scratches in the boots!

I bet those boots look lovely! Frye boots are beautiful. Way to go on mixing the Lustre Creams!

Dyeing Leather Shoes

A nice cream that enriches the color of the leather

A nice cream that enriches the color of the leather. Never used it before but I’m building a travel bag and all the leather accents are hand dyed veg tan that is shined up with neutral luster cream. It also evens out the dye. Nice product.

Great Product for All Your Leather

I really like the Neutral Lustre Cream because it works with any color leather product, so I don't need a wide assortment of different colors to try and match a particular bag or pair of shoes. It goes on really easily with just a soft cloth or rag, and then after a few minutes it dries and turns dull, at which point you can use a clean portion of the cloth to buff it back to a shine. It's helped me keep my shoes looking clean and new, and has helped mitigate some minor scuffs and wear.

For most leather goods, I've found this is all you need. For black leather goods, especially shoes, some black shoe polish is great to use as well.
