RM Customs | Rhiannon Morozoff

Hello! My name is Rhiannon & I am the sneaker artist behind RM Customs. I have been customizing for about 4.5 years and really got into it during Covid-19. Previously, I was a sneaker collector but always loved to be creative! After learning about the world of customizing online, my partner gave me the push to try customizing and I have loved it ever since. Over time I have built my brand, developed my artistic ability and met some amazing people in the process. I love the creative outlet customizing gives me and the connection to my community.

In my day-to-day life I am full-time educator. I have always loved working with people & art has given a new way to do just that. Creating someone's perfect pair is such a special opportunity that I take great pride in! My friends, family and partner have been so supportive in my love for art & I wouldn't be here without them. I am so excited to see what the future holds for RM Customs!

Guide on How to Make Your Customs Glow Under UV Light with Angelus Neon Paints

1

Step 1: Prep the Surface

Start by cleaning your leather or synthetic leather with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer to remove any factory finish or oils. This ensures your neon paint sticks smoothly and lasts longer.

Step 2: Apply a Solid Base Coat

For the brightest neon pop, paint a white base layer first using Angelus Flat White Paint. Let it dry completely. This will make the neon colors appear more vivid and amplify the glow under blacklight.

Step 3: Layer On Angelus Neon Paint

Now the fun part—choose your favorite Angelus Neon Paint shades and start layering! Use thin, even coats and let each one dry before adding the next. Most neons need 2–4 coats for full opacity and max glow potential.

Step 4: Test Under UV Light & Seal

Shine a UV flashlight or blacklight on your piece to see the transformation. Once you’re satisfied, lock in your work with any Angelus 4-Coat Urethane Clear Coats or Acrylic Finishers for an extra layer of protection and durability.

Creator Questions

I'm based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

I heard about Angelus through my research when I first started getting into customizing! It was the most used and recommended paint upon my research and for good reason! It is my go too for long-lasting & pigmented designs.

I use Angelus products to customize sneakers and create wearable artwork! Their paints help me create bold, unique and fun designs for my clients. I also use the sneaker care to keep my sneakers clean & fresh.

I love all of the Angelus products, but my top five Angelus products would have to be:
1. Glow in the Dark Paint: It allows me to create fun surprises for clients. It is such a fun addition to any custom.
2. Angelus Metallic Silver Paint: It is the best paint to mix into any colour and get a perfect shimmer I need.
3. Angelus Paint Brush Set: The best brushes that provide clean application to my customs!
4. Matte 4-Coat: This finisher provides the best natural matte finish & protection to my customs!
5. Angelus Standard Leather Paints: Angelus paints are the BEST. The are long-lasting, bold & come in sooo many colours. It provides me so many options to get the perfect colours for my artwork.

If I could go back and tell 22 year old me ANYTHING, it would be to trust in your vision. As someone who hasn’t studied art & rather learned as she went, it is easy to compare yourself to others and their journey. I have learned to trust in my ability and my artistic vision. In the process I have found my own style, made amazing connections with people & pushed myself to think outside the box. Not only am I more confident, but I am extremely proud of all my work. Don’t doubt yourself, rather trust in your vision and that you are moving at the right pace. You got this!
