Required Supplies

To create the perfect paint pen for metal, gather the following essentials:

• Angelus Paint Markers (Empty)

• Angelus Acrylic Paint in your choice of color

• 2‑Thin Paint Thinner for proper flow and consistency

• 2‑Hard Film Hardener to help adhere to metal

• 0.2ml Eye Droppers for clean loading

Mixing & Loading Your Pen

1. Mix Your Paint: Blend Angelus Paint with 2‑Thin in a 1:1 ratio for optimal flow.

2. Add 2-Hard: For metal surfaces, mix in 75% 2-Hard for rigid jobs

3. Load the Marker: Use a dropper to fill the barrel, cap tightly, and shake vigorously.

4. Prime the Tip: Press the tip down to start the flow.

5. Test your Pen: Make test marks on scrap metal to confirm line clarity and contrast.

This refillable system is ideal for artists or anyone looking to bring creativity and control to custom marker projects.

• Prep the Surface: Start by thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the metal. For better adhesion, lightly sand the area using Angelus wet sandpaper. A clean, slightly rough surface helps the paint adhere and stay in place.

• Apply in Thin, Even Layers: Build your coverage slowly. Apply multiple thin coats instead of one thick layer to avoid drips and uneven drying. After applying your final coat with 2-Hard mixed in, allow a full 48 hours for proper curing.

• Seal for Added Durability (optional): For extra protection against wear, weather, or frequent handling, finish your project with a high-durability clear coat like Angelus urethane clear coat or an automotive clear coat.
