Quick answers from our counter staff.
Do I need glue to use Glitterlites?
No. The glitter is already in the paint, so you just mix and apply. There's no loose glitter to clean up.
Do I need to mix it first?
Yes. Mix the bottle well so the glitter is spread evenly before you apply it.
How do I get more sparkle?
Add light layers. Apply thin coats and add more to build up the sparkle, letting each one dry.
Do I need to prep leather first?
Yes. Clean and prep the surface. On leather, use Leather Preparer & Deglazer.
How big is each bottle?
Each bottle is 1 oz. Pick 12 colors in the Glitterlites Kit.

I love this product because it gives a glittery effect without any of it falling off. I really hate glitter fabric, tulle, paint, that leaves glitter all over my clothes and the work surface. This does not do that at all and it has very full coverage.

I painted a pair of low top sneakers with lavender glitterlites, and they look so fabulous! Unfortunately, the glitter flakes off constantly, especially at the creases of the shoe where my foot bends. Alas, according to Angelus, there is no top coat that will stop this from happening, so it seems the only option is to buy more and keep doing touch-ups. Attached photos are before, after, and 1 week later. If I had known this was going to be a problem, I would have put down a few layers of matching paint before the glitter, so at least when the glitter flaked off it wouldn't show the original gray color.

These are easy to work with and take no time drying when I use a heat gun. Honestly I love painting with these on suede way more than regular leather because the fibers of suede grab the glitter and I only need one coat(it is a kinda thick coat but the suede doesn’t make it dry longer either). I’ll always keep buying from Angelus.

If painting canvas shoes should this be mixed with the 2 soft? Also, can this this be mixed with the purple metallic paint for a custom color?
Hey there! We would only recommend mixing the leather paint with the 2-Soft. For the glitterlites, it might be too thick for it to even seep into the canvas. It might just end up layering on top. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusdirect.com. Thank you!
I've made some shoes for a wedding mixing glue and glitter then applying it to a pair of Vans shoes however with how much was put on, the shoes are extremely stiff and uncomfortable, does this have the same effect?
