Ideal for everything from full-shoe color swaps to detailed line work, these water-based paints offer superior self-leveling properties for a smooth, factory-standard appearance. By bundling the entire metallic and pearlescent line, this kit offers a technical solution for creating custom iridescent blends and high-luster finishes at a professional value. Once fully cured over 24 hours, each color forms an industrial-strength, waterproof barrier that is resistant to abrasive scuffs and environmental wear.

Formula: Water-based, high-flexibility acrylic resin optimized for metallic pigment suspension and permanent leather adhesion. Application: Suitable for brushes, sponges, or airbrushes (thinning with 2-Thin is required for airbrush use). Durability: Industrial-standard resistance to water penetration, scratching, and UV fading. Kit Value: Includes the complete line of 12 specialty colors in convenient 1 oz. bottles for maximum project versatility

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.
