Angelus Blue Turquoise is a high-performance acrylic polymer specifically developed for the high-flex demands of footwear and leather goods. Unlike conventional acrylics, this water-based formula is designed to integrate with the fibers of leather, vinyl, and canvas, providing a permanent Blue Turquoise finish that maintains its structural integrity under stress. The paint’s molecular composition allows it to expand and contract during the natural movement of a shoe, effectively eliminating the risk of surface cracking or delamination in high-stress zones.

For a professional-grade application, the material must first be stripped of its factory finish using a deglazer. This step is critical for ensuring the Blue Turquoise pigment can achieve a chemical bond with the substrate. When applied in thin, incremental coats, the paint levels itself to eliminate brush strokes and creates a seamless, factory-fresh appearance. Once cured, the result is a fully waterproof surface that is highly resistant to both abrasive scuffs and UV-induced color fading.

Formula: Professional-grade, water-based acrylic resin designed for extreme flexibility and adhesion.

Application: Suitable for brushwork, sponges, or airbrushing (0.35mm nozzle or larger recommended when thinned with 2-Thin).

Coverage: Concentrated Blue Turquoise pigment offering superior color depth and opacity on both light and dark materials.

Durability: Industrial-standard resistance to water penetration, scratching, and chemical wear after a 24-hour cure.

Sizes: Available in 1 oz, 4 oz, Pint, and Quart containers to suit any production volume.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

Absolutely love

I bought this for a pair of ballet shoes for my Spider-Gwen cosplay and it worked perfectly! It was so easy to use and dries super fast. The color looks vibrant and doesn't show any of the original beige color of the shoes at all. I can't wait to wear them!

This is a great color. Normal turquoise is usually too green for me - but the blue is good.

I mean I got The bigger bottle, that tells the story right there. This is a perfect turquoise for me. I always like my turquoise to be a little blue heavy. So I don't have to mix anything because you've got a perfect one right here in a bottle.

Angelus Blue Turquoise Paint as well as all of Angelus products are quality. Color matching and mixing is easier than any other products I've used. The coverage is impeccable with fewer thin coats and no tacky finish.
