Want to create an earth tone colorway for your custom Jordans? Grab a pair of our Capezio Tan Paint. At Angelus Direct we make the best acrylic leather paint on the market, so you can do your thing creativity without worrying about quality.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

I am in LOVE with this color. It is beautiful. It has a gorgeous, almost golden sheen that creates a deep, rich look. I am always so amazed with Angelus and frequently share the projects I have done with Angelus paint and spread the word about the high quality and ease of application as well as the incredible durability. This is my favorite brown color to use as....

a base when Im doing wood grain. I do a coat of this, and then do detail in bowler brown or chocolate over the top. Ive used it on shoes, hats and a flag.

Capezio Tan is NB Miata Tan

For NB Miata owners, note that Capezio Tan is a nearly perfect match for the stock tan interior color. I bought some Dark Taupe as well, thinking I might have to darken the Capezio Tan, but it's so similar to the Mazda color that I don't think I could get it any closer. Perfect!

Couches

Really easy to use and far exceeded what I thought it was going to look, feel and wear like. Cat and dog scratches blended in with a sanding step. Multiple spot coats, and an overall finish coat dried quick and the next day was ready. Restored these to near new condition. I custom mixed 4 oz of tan & into a quart of cream and got a close match. For $40.00 of supplies I restored 2 couches to like new.....now I keep the St Benard of it!!!

Bonded leather paint

Wish I found out about this paint before I tried other leather fabric products to renew the age cracks in the dried out bonded leather of my couches & vinyl chairs. This stuff makes it look like new but you have to add the matte finish to it. Wish they sold a matte finish paint for couches & chairs. Matching the ivory color I needed has a challenge. Wish there was an Ivory sold. Bone too green. Vanilla too yellow. I needed a yellow/pink/tan tone for my couches. First tried Vanilla & Sand, then the Taupes. Vanilla & Capezio Tan worked best. I got Black & Rich Brown for my two computer chairs.I mix it in a mini cup to get the color right, then repeat. The paint dries shiny for shoes so you have to add a little matte finish to it. It works great when you get it right.The color dries darker so be careful.
