Leather dyes are super strong and full of color. They work great on leather because they soak in and last a long time. Suede dyes are a bit different—they have less color in them and are made to keep suede soft. Suede is that soft, fuzzy leather, and it needs special care. If you put leather dye on suede, it can make the suede hard, not soft and fuzzy like it should be.
Dyes takes the color of what is under them. So if you dye something white with red it will turn pink. It mixes with it. Paint sits on the surface and grabs on. You can cover anything with paint. Our paint is water based while our dyes are alcohol based.
Yes, all Angelus Dyes are mixable! Angelus Leather Dyes can be mixed with other Angelus Leather Dyes, and the same for Angelus Suede Dyes. Mixing dyes to acheive specific colors is harder than mixing paints and does require testing. (Do not mix Suede Dyes and Leather Dyes together.)
Keep in mind that this is considered a professional product. You may need to perform many tests before applying it to your final piece.

Used this for spiffing up a Western saddle seat. Density of color was excellent, however, I did not consider the amount that would be taken in by the leather, and should have ordered a bit more to cover thoroughly. All in all, I learned something valuable, and increased the value of my saddle, all good!
Thanks for the review! try a little Mink Oil Aerosol on the finished saddle. It may have been very dry.

I've used dark brown and black suede dyes to darken suede fur coats and each time it comes out beautiful. Not even hard to apply evenly. Great product, would definitely recommend.
A lovely dark brown dye. Goes on like water, let it dry a bit and go in with another coat if you would like it darker. I used a small synthetic brush and it worked wonderfully

I'm pleased with the suede dye.I actually took on the project of dying a suede jacket with lots of fringe and beading details.It was a light rust color that I felt was not flattering to my skin tone and coloring , so I dyed it black, and the first coat ( applied lightly with a brush) came out a rather splotchy dark brown. For the second coat, I used the dobber that came in the box, and it gave a more saturated even coverage.I had to work carefully around the beading and small details, but worth the effort. This took many bottles, but I'm happy with my new black suede jacket!
My 16 year old completely sun faded dunks look darker than the pic on stock x, which looks way darker than the shoe that you will end up getting anyway. It's awesome to know that I can buy a fair conditioned old pair of shoes for cheap and turn them into dead stock condition. Thank you for your high end product which is more than reasonably cost.
Great! Used to dye a rarely-used $800 retail Khaki satchel handbag. So beautiful in Dark Brown! Color has a red (vs yellow) undertone. I applied a finishing layer of diluted Black dye to diminish the red a bit. Very impressed w/ the results!

I used it to dye a pair of taupe suede brogue boots to a rich dark brown. One bottle was more than enough for two coats and the result is spectacular.
The brown suede dye is the 2nd dye I've used from Angelus. The 1st was Navy Blue. Your product is by far the best dye on the market. I've dyed suede pumps and suede ankle boots.Besides people not believing they were dyed to begin with, I've received countless compliments on the colors. The videos were extremely helpful as well. Got some tips on how to dye my black suede ankle boots navy blue. Sounds impossible but they came out beautiful!

I’m hoping to dye my suede Birkenstock sandals bc I had a blue gel pen leak on one of the straps. They r a light brown, but wondering if dark brown suede dye would cover the blue pen?
Dyes are meant to restore a color of the like. If the pen is darker than the brown, it may not be opaque enought to cover that.
