Rit DyeMore Synthetic Fiber Dye in Plum Berry is a liquid dye made for synthetics: polyester, acrylic, acetate, nylon, and blends with 35% or more of those fibers. Regular fabric dye won't take on synthetics, but DyeMore will, and it also works on the rubber soles of sneakers.

Each bottle is 7 fl. oz. (207 ml).

Works on

  • Polyester, nylon, acrylic, and acetate
  • Fabric blends with 35% or more synthetic fiber
  • Rubber sneaker soles

How to use it

  1. Bring about 3 gallons of water to a boil in a large stainless-steel pot and keep it hot on the stove the whole time.
  2. Add 4 oz. of dye per pound of fabric, with enough water for the fabric to move freely. Double the dye for 100% polyester.
  3. Dye for 10 to 30 minutes, depending on how bold you want the color.
  4. Rinse, wash, and dry.
