Rit DyeMore Smoky Blue is a synthetic fiber dye for polyester, nylon, acrylic, and acetate fabrics, plus rubber sneaker soles. Use it on anything with 35% or more synthetic fiber, which regular all-purpose dye can't color.

Each bottle is 7 fl. oz.

How to use it

  1. Heat about 3 gallons of water in a large stainless-steel pot on the stove, and keep it hot the whole time.
  2. Add 4 oz. of dye per pound of fabric, and double it for 100% polyester.
  3. Make sure the bath is big enough for the fabric to move freely.
  4. Dye for 10 to 30 minutes, depending on how deep you want the color.
  5. Rinse, wash, and dry.

Common questions

What does Rit DyeMore work on?

Synthetics: polyester, nylon, acrylic and acetate, plus blends with 35% or more of those fibers. It also works on rubber sneaker soles.

Why not regular fabric dye?

Yes. Use double the dye for 100% polyester.

Can it dye shoe soles?

Yes. It works on rubber sneaker soles as well as synthetic fabric.

How long do I leave it in?

10 to 30 minutes, depending on how bold you want the color. Keep the water hot the whole time.

Yes. Mix any 6 or more Rit dyes, All-Purpose and DyeMore together, and save 10% in your cart.
