Leather dyes are super strong and full of color. They work great on leather because they soak in and last a long time. Suede dyes are a bit different—they have less color in them and are made to keep suede soft. Suede is that soft, fuzzy leather, and it needs special care. If you put leather dye on suede, it can make the suede hard, not soft and fuzzy like it should be.
Dyes takes the color of what is under them. So if you dye something white with red it will turn pink. It mixes with it. Paint sits on the surface and grabs on. You can cover anything with paint. Our paint is water based while our dyes are alcohol based.
Yes, all Angelus Dyes are mixable! Angelus Leather Dyes can be mixed with other Angelus Leather Dyes, and the same for Angelus Suede Dyes. Mixing dyes to acheive specific colors is harder than mixing paints and does require testing. (Do not mix Suede Dyes and Leather Dyes together.)
Keep in mind that this is considered a professional product. You may need to perform many tests before applying it to your final piece.

Very even application using tool included. One coat would have been fine, I went with two and it is very dark brown. Still excellent product with excellent results.Boots in pictures were light brown - Ariat called it weathered.
When I received my leather dyes, the daubers, and the leather preparer and deglazed, I thought I was ready to roll. Then I read the instructions and learned I did not receive the stain wax or luster cream, the finisher. I thought this was a repair kit with everything I needed. I was bummed! So how can we get this corrected so I can get my chair arm back to new?

I refurbished the straps on my Brahmin handbag. I was nervous but found the process easier and less messy than I'd anticipated. Applying the dye wasn't difficult, and I used the Angelus high gloss Acrylic finisher after letting the dye dry overnight The straps looked brand new when I finished. I used cardboard to protect my work area and wore gloves
Color matched perfectly, went on smooth and appears to hold color with no fading.

I purchased several leather dyes to dye/stain a guitar. This is my first attempt so I bought scrap wood to test different dyes and mixtures and seems all of my attempts were successful. Lots of color options and a lot of dye is not needed so the small bottles of dye are perfect. Order was received quickly and dye is great quality. Can’t beat it !

This leather dye came with the guarantee that it does not transfer. That is not true. Every time I put leather conditioner on the furniture I used this dye on, it transfers color to our clothes. I does do an excellent job making old leather dark again, but I'm very disappointed with it transferring after the fact.

Great. I used the dark brown polish on a leather bag my daughter brought me from Spain when she was in high school. It is about 45 years old. The polish has made the bag look new again. This is a great product.

I purchased the Dark Brown to reduce a pair of brown Loafers, damage by flood in basement. The right dark brown shoes are hard to find. I rested and the shoes look Spectacular!!!
I love it and would definitely recommend. So far I’ve only used 1 coat but I may go back and add another or 2. The coverage was pretty good with the single layer coat but it would cover completely throughout if I use another.
