Easy to use

The jar of leather paint was more than enough to cover my small purse with multiple coats. I even had enough left to do a pair of shoes. It's water soluble, thus easy on brushes and hands. The Angelus support group was consistently helpful with my questions.

This dye came out absolutely perfect. One thing I love about Angelus colors, especially the dyes, are that they come out so vibrant. Thank you for the awesome products. You make me look good

Purple Leather Dye Review

It was awesome! To be fair, I did not follow the directions as I customize shoes and I did my own thing with it but regardless, it came out lovely. I paired it with the blue leather dye for a nice cotton candy feel and the dye made them have a great color pop!

Didn’t work

The product did not dye properly. It may be the leather I was trying to dye, it’s a leather dog collar previously dyed purple but losing its brightness. I tried the purple dye on a small patch on the back as a test and glad I did as it turned a ghastly dark yellow!! I can’t entirely fault the product as it may have been a chemical reaction issue but it really didn’t work for me.

Angelus Direct

Hello there! We are sorry you had issues with the dye. The "ghastly dark yellow" that you are seeing is called "bronzing". This happens when the leather has too much dye, it becomes over saturated and starts to push out the pigment causing this effect. Please feel free to email us at info@angelusdirect.com if you have any more questions or concerns. Thank you for your feedback, have a wonderful day.
