Angelus White Cement (Collector Edition) is a technical acrylic coating specifically engineered for high-flexibility applications on leather, vinyl, and canvas. Part of the specialized Collector Edition series, this formula is precisely color-matched to the iconic light grey hue found on the 2012 "White Cement" footwear releases. This professional-grade, water-based paint is designed to integrate with the material's fibers, ensuring the classic cement-toned pigment remains pliable even in high-stress areas like the toe box and side panels. By creating a permanent bond rather than a thick surface layer, it effectively eliminates the risks of cracking or peeling during constant mechanical movement.

To ensure a factory-standard finish, the surface must be prepared with a deglazer to remove original topcoats and oils. Applying the paint in light, incremental layers allows for a self-leveling, smooth appearance that is resistant to brush marks. Once the 24-hour curing cycle is complete, the White Cement finish becomes an industrial-strength, waterproof barrier that provides long-term resistance against abrasive scuffs and environmental color fading.

  • Application: Suitable for use with brushes, sponges, or airbrushes (thinning with 2-Thin is required for airbrush applications).

  • Sizes: Available in 1 oz and 4 oz containers to support precise restoration and custom footwear projects.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas. 

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry. 

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

I taped up the sneaker and repainted it to find out that the color does not match at all. The light gray is much closer but needs to be mixed with white and bone to even get it. I can’t believe you guys have not color matched it yet and still sell this as white cement 4 paint. I love most of your products but this one is it a bad misrepresentation of what you think you’re getting. I wish I knew I could upload photos because I would’ve taken them. Save your time and money and buy the light gray flat white and bone. Mix the white first to get the right tone of gray and then the bone to get the right shade.

Overall not a bad color only thing is when laying it down wether using a brush or an air brush you need 2 thin because the color comes off kinda chalky like there’s a bit too much duller in it other than that everything was amazing

I just used it for the first time and it didn’t just live up to my expectations, it surpassed them. I don’t know how anyone mad scientists included could come up with a paint that when used as recommended can actually be used on something that gets bent, creased, folded, and all around beat up like sneakers and yet maintain the same look as it did the very first day. Top class products with such wonderfully helpful employees that were always more than happy to help.
