Trusted by professional customizers to maintain its vibrant yellow hue and flexibility, this water-based acrylic bonds directly to leather, vinyl, and canvas. The professional-grade formula ensures that once prepped with a deglazer, this bright yellow pigment stays pliable to prevent the cracking or flaking found in lower-tier brands. By applying thin, even layers, you create a waterproof and scratch-resistant finish that stands up to the heavy movement of sneakers and daily-use leather goods.

Formula: Flexible, water-based acrylic optimized for leather restoration and custom sneaker art.

Application: Compatible with brushes, sponges, or airbrushes (0.35mm+ nozzle recommended with 2-Thin).

Coverage: High-saturation yellow pigment provides consistent, opaque results on both light and dark surfaces.

Durability: Strong resistance to water, scuffs, and fading once the 24-hour curing process is complete.

Sizes: Stocked in 1 oz, 4 oz, Pint, and Quart containers to suit any project scale.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas. 

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry. 

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

I call this yellow Canary Yellow. This is another vibrant color that I love. I pick my spots on when to use this color so I don’t get carried away. I usually use it on shoes like you are suppose to use on. I also use it on paper and canvas.

Remarkably Good!!

Remakably good. Initially we were concerned about our application method as we were going to use a fine tipped brush which was going to leave streaks and lines. A side effect, sad to say, of spraying as frequently as possible instead of painting. But this paint flattened out as it dried. We used multiple coats and the results were remarkable. We used the paint on the top-dead-center-stripe of a leather Momo steering wheel. The original paint was cracked and worn. I will use their leather paint again if the need arises.

Purchased yellow paint to repaint a leather fire helmet. Helmet was black and Customer wanted it yellow. Applied 12 coats with a brush, then airbrushed another 3 coats on top of that. Helmet turned out really great!
