If you're a sneaker customizer, Angelus Direct is your number one resource for premium acrylic leather paint. When it's time to change up your sneaker's colorway, try own with our Angelus Putty Paint. It's the best leather paint for shoes, offering durability and a flawless finish

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

As a gourd artist for many years, it’s by far the best paint for my art. It leaves a verynice finish. The putty paint is empty and I’ll be ordering more soon!

Before and after.

Easy to apply, excellent one-coatcoverage. I was able to renew two pairs of walking shoes with only 2/3 of an ounce of paint. Really amazing!

Very good paint for leather

Very good results achieved with Angelus paints. The most difficult part of the process is choosing the right color mixture. I was dealing with an off white color sectional sofa. I quickly learned that there are many variations of off white.

COLORS AVAILABLE

I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THAT YOU DIDN;T HAVE A BASIS LIGHT NATURAL TAN COLOR. I DID MANAGED TO COME UP WITH THE NATURAL LEATHER LOOK AFTER MIXING SOME COLORS TOGETHER.

Hello David, Unfortunately we do not have all the colors to entice everyone's needs, but You did everything correctly and made it yourself. That was definitely the correct thing to do. We always highly recommend to experiment with our paints and mix them to get the exact colorway needed for your project! Good Job Bud! Love the colour

I'm painting a badly marked cream leather sofa, and this is one of the colours I've tried in the little 1oz pots. Even the palest leather paints cover up the mould and red wine stains. Very impressed . Extremely easy to use. Now ordering larger sizes to finish the two sofas and chair, but a little goes a long way. Amazing product.

Hello, I have two faux leather sofas, one of which is heavily peeled. Which product do I use to fill those holes prior to paint? Putty or filler. Holes are mostly 1 or 2 cm in size but there are few patches that go as long as 1 or 2 inches. I would like to see even surface at the end as much as possible. Thanks,Jagruti

Angelus Direct

Hi there,Our putty is a paint, putty was the name given to that particular color! To fill in holes, we recommend the filler!

Hi again, another question about this colour, how would you describe it? Is it warm beige or cool grey? How dark is it? Thank you so much!

Angelus Direct

Hi! I would describe this color as more of a cool grey. I would be happy to swatch it for you and send you a few pictures. Feel free to email us at info@angelusdirect.com.

Hi, I am interested in repainting my leather sofa. The color I am looking for is somewhere in the area of an off white or oyster color. Do you have any pictures of anything that has been painted with the bone paint? Monitors can be tricky in getting a good color match. Or how dark is the bone color? Thanks cindy

Angelus Direct

Hello Cindy! Can you please send us pictures of the couch to: info@angelusdirect.com? A representative from there should be able to assist you further. Thank you
