Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint's are flexible and will not crack when prepped and applied properly to leather items. Once completely dry, Angelus Saddle Leather Paint will be completely water proof.

Our Saddle Paint is water-based for easy clean-up and is mixable for countless custom colors!

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

Had a loved but UGLY stress less chair that really needed help. With a primer coat (1/2 and 1/2 paint and water) and one coat of Saddle leather paint it looks brand new! Easy and fast. We are very happy. Four, 4 ounce bottles was plenty for the chair and a footstool. Let’s see now….. what else can I paint?

Great Customer Service and Product

After having issues with USPS getting to us, Angelus Direct sent out another set of paint for us within 2 days. It had been over 3 weeks with dealing with USPS and it was refreshing that AD took the time to resend it, knowing it was not their fault. Also happy to report that we refinished a leather headboard. The color is true to picture and a little bit went a long way. We are very happy with AD.

Perfect color for LV Monogram damaged Vachetta

Love this Saddle color I chose to paint the Vachetta leather on a Louis Vuitton Alma Monogram bag. It is the perfect color for any LV Monogram Vachetta that has damage from stains etc..I was hesitant at first but end result was outstanding! Bought another bottle for another LV project.

Looks Like a Brand New Amp!

I used Angelus Saddle and Rich Brown leather paints with an airbrush to refurbish a Pignose (brand) amplifier that had seen better days. The characteristic naugahyde covering on the amp had badly faded and discolored--unevenly over the cabinet. Spraying Saddle overall and then dusting some Rich Brown patches to vary the color not only gave it a realistic look, after applying the Satin Acrylic Finisher the amp looks as good as new! I'm used to being disappointed in most of the products I experiment with for restoration projects; that certainly wasn't the case with Angelus paints. I'll be buying more, especially since the ordering process, even when I wanted to change an order, was so easy! VERY HAPPY with this company and what they sell.

I wish there was a color chart available for all the different dyes it would take a lot of the guessing out of trying to match up the dyes to my projects, other than that I love the products and they get the job done exactly as I had hoped
