Angelus Acrylic Leather Paint's are flexible and will not crack when prepped and applied properly to leather items. Once completely dry, Angelus Tan Leather Paint will be completely water proof.

Our Tan Paint is water-based for easy clean-up and is mixable for countless custom colors! Perfect for customizing or restoring your sneakers or hand bags. For the best leather shoe paint results, pair it with our preparation and finisher products.

PAINTING LEATHER

1. Prepare leather surfaces using 3-5 passes of Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag. (acetone can also be used).

2. Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. When dry, wipe with microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust particles.

3. Apply Angelus Paint with paint brush, airbrush (at least 0.35mm nozzle) or sponge. Apply 3-5 coats or until desired coverage has been reached. Less coats can be used for line work and detail work.

Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

4. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before allowing paint to bend or flex. Be careful of flying lint or debris getting on the shoe to avoid imperfections. Longer curing time ensures better durability.

5. To add extra protection or customize the finish, apply Angelus 4-Coat Clear Coat in Flat, Satin, Glossy, or Matte. Use 1-2 layers for the best results. 1-2 layers on top.

PAINTING CANVAS/DENIM - SHOES, CLOTHING, AND MORE

1. Prep by cleaning the surface with a cleaning product like our Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit. It is necessary to get out all the oils and dirt that may be sitting in or on the canvas.

2. Make sure there is adequate dry time and that you wipe off and get all the cleaner out.

3. (Optional) If you want to make the paint soak in and not be as rubbery textured on canvas we suggest using our product 2-Soft mixed with our paint. You can paint Angelus paint directly on canvas without it but it just will feel more like a screen print then part of the shoe. When using 2-Soft you must heat set.

4. Paint with 3-5 light layers of Angelus Paint. Make sure to leave to dry 15-30 minutes between layers.

5. Leave to dry.

(Optional) No additional protection is really needed as the paint has soaked into the canvas. If you want to change the sheen to a matte or glossy look instead we do suggest our 4-Coat Clear Coat.

What kind of witchery is this

After reading the reviews, I had confidence it would work, but wow. I mixed tan with a little red, it feathers out nicely so if it is a bit off you can't see it. I finished it off with the matt sealer which does have a small shine to it and matched the rest of the couch.

Julie, we couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Painted light beige sandals tan. Love it!

My sandals came out lovely. They were originally light beige. I wanted something a little darker so painted it tan. I used acetone or Angelus leather prefer and deglazer first to wipe and prep the shoes with a cotton ball before painting. You can also use painters tape to tape around the edges that you do not want painted. I then applied the first coat of tan paint. A little bit goes a long way. I let that dry over night, then I applied the 2nd coat of paint using a wool dauber so that it goes on more smoothly than a larger paint brush. I let 2nd coat also dry over night before applying the Angelus matte finish to the shoe to seal the paint and to give it a matte finish look.

Very Happy with results.

I had a cream leather couch that was 10years old. It was worn to the point cleaning was impossible from pets, kids and life in general. My husband was very sceptical about this idea of mine to dye the couch. The results are amazing! Was tricky getting paint to dry in-between the cushions that couldn’t be removed but I used a hair dryer then some tinfoil to stop it sticking. 3months later the only bit of paint that has lifted is where a cane book holder has rubbed against it and I just patched it up with left over paint and you wouldn’t even know.

Angelus saves my day

Hi Angelus,I bought this little bottle to try on the back of my love seat because the leather was so discoloured that it was it was at the stage where I'd try anything before I had to part with it, I loved my livingroom Furniture and couldn't justify purchasing all new stuff to replace the old style that I loved. However, after painting the patch, you couldn't help but notice how the paint just brought the life right back to that old leather. So then I purchased two of the big bottles, which I only used one of, to completely cover my couch, love seat, my recliner and my husbands recliner. I painted it all about a month ago and it looks and feels and is wearing just like new leather. It was easy to do with a sponge. I feel silly for having even thought twice about doing this. Angelus is not the only leather paint I have tried but it is certainly the best. Other's I'd attempted to use, left leather feeling sticky or hard. Your paint just seems to completely bring the old leather back to life. Even a chair that was a completely different colour than the rest of my set, now matches perfectly. Everyone that sees it can't believe that I even attempted such a large uninsured task. People are amazed at how it still feels soft and stretches and sit's in the sun or airconditioning and does't crack or peel or change at all from the day I painted it. . I have a feeling I will have a lot of painting to do for friends in the near future because so many people are afraid to try something like this. Also, I can touch it up whenever I get ink or nailpolish... on it. this old set will be around along time and hopefully now, become a family heirloom.I love painting, and paint everything.... now...especially leather!!Your colours are awesome too!! Thankgs guys for developing this product for us paint lovers!Beverly Johnston, Burlington, Ontario, Canada, L7P0B1
