Gold Leather Dye

Just starting using these products on my new hobby staining and building guitar So far great!

This was my first attempt at dyeing leather. I’d seen and read a lot about Angelus in a leather bag FB group and was impressed by the selection of colors! I gave a pair of taxi-cab-yellow Docs a few coats of gold dye and the result was a very cool petrified wood color. The yellow of the leather pulled the dye much more green than I expected but I loved the process and the OOAK results. Brought them to a high shine with Angelus neutral wax polish & horsehair brush. I’ve already placed a second order for my next projects!

Started leather dying a couple of years ago. Tried several different brands. I finally zeroed in on Angelus . The variety for colors is fantastic. they work so well in my airbrush. I dilute with 91% alcohol 50-50. The prices are great. These are the only dyes for me.

needed this for some vintage baseball gloves and the color nearly matches those 70’s leather look :D can highly recommend

Great stuff, my first attempt at sole dying and it was a total success!

My initial attempt to use this product wasnt what I was hoping for, but I'm chalking that up to my inexperience with it. Was using the dye to color a guitar neck a d feet board, but turned out way to saturated, sanded back and will be diluting with some water to shoot for a lighter tone. But my initial impression was Very positive. The wood absorbed the color, it was easy to use even though I didn't get MY desired results I can tell it's a good product and something I'm looking forward to using againHad a small issue with the shipping address, but contacted company and the sales rep was super fast to contact me and fix my issue, great first impression with this company

This dye definitely penetrates the leather well. It was a little dark than I anticipated, however I think if the leather had been lighter to begin with it would’ve given me different results. Overall great.

I hoped for a GOLD color with a metallic effect but it came out a lightish brownish? Dont get me wrong i will use it because it is a very nice warm color but it is NOT Gold!

I started using Angelus products in the '80's. They were great then and they are still the best I have found. There is ONLY one concern with Angelus products. They sometime arrive from the USPS in an condition which a bottle has leaked. The first time I got one in this condition, I emailed a picture to cus-service. They contacted me and sent me a replacement. I did not even ask for it. I did not even need another bottle, but it showed me that the Angelus Co. Is a good company to buy my supplies from. Since then I have experienced similar spills with both spirit dyes and acrylic paints. I do not know what the solution is for this problem. It will not change my opinion of the Angelus company. I am only stating the problem to alert the company so they can find a solution. I will continue to purchase Angelus products and I will recommend them to others.

It works great! There was a mistake and I was sent the wrong product initially, and angelus let me keep it and sent me the right one at no cost. Great customer service!
